Why is Roofing So Important?

Well there are a few way to answer that question. When is comes to maintaining your roofs, it’s is extremely important. First of all, if protects you and your family from the elements like dirt, dust, rain, snow, hail, wind, too much sun, and many other things. Your roof is exposed to the elements every day and some times some of that crazy random Arkansas weather we have. All of those things can greatly contribute to a lot of potential damage and deterioration. If you have a poorly maintained roof, that can cause a lot of problems, contact us and we would be happy to work with you.

Is there a roofing season that is better to do the work?

It can vary a lot, but typically the busiest time of the year for the majority or roofing companies is ussually late in the summer through the fall months.

Depends where and what company of course, but sometimes they can get so busy that many homeowners might have to possibly wait a month or two before their is an opening. We always try and keep our crews busy and try to get to every customer we can as promptly as possible.

What is the common style of roofing most homeowners use?

The answer to that, would be asphalt shingles. That is the most common roofing material in the in North America. In the past, Singles that are called, 3-tab shingles were used more commonly; now, what are called “dimensional” or “architectural” shingles are becoming very popular for many homes owners across the country.

What are Shingles?

There are a few different kind of Roof Shingles. Shingles refers to the covering consisting of individual overlapping elements on top of a roof. These elements are typically rectangular shapes, are flat, and are laid from the bottom edge of the roof up to the top. By doing this process, the shingle joints can be overlapped making them work properly. There are many different materials that make up shingles, including; composite materials, wood, slate, flagstone, plastic, metal, and asphalt shingles. There are also roof times that are ceramic which are popular in some parts of Europe and Asia.

How do I know if I need a new installation or a repair?

There can be many signs that will tell you that it may be time for new roof shingles or a repair. Like many things we have, many people don’t think about their roof until there is a problem that effects them. For example...a leak can be a sure sign something is wrong. Please don’t wait until it is time to get all the buckets, if you are having leaks in your home.
